Firelink is a national project to provide the Fire and Rescue Service (FRS) with a new wide area mobile radio system throughout England, Wales and potentially Scotland. Implementation of the chosen solution is about to commence and is planned for completion in 2009.
Under contract to the Civil Resilience Directorate of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM), We provide technical and engineering consultancy to the project team which is made up of Civil Servants, Consultants and seconded Fire and Rescue Service staff.
We are looking to recruit a Quality Environment & Safety Manager to work within the Project Management Team reporting to the Project Manager. Job descriptionThe QES Manager will review, against the Company's quality expectations, the performance, effectiveness and suitability of the Contractors quality, environmental & safety systems, plans, procedures and processes.
The postholder will also be required to develop and promote a culture conducive to quality & safety throughout the project, thereby enabling the project to attain its quality & safety vision. Candidate specificationThe successful applicant will possess experience and relevant qualifications in Quality Management and project delivery, experience in PRINCE2, and be qualified as a ISO 9001:2000 Lead Auditor.
A degree in Engineering or other relevant post graduate qualification would be desirable, along with experience in project management and in the management of contractual relationships.
